Intercessory Prayer & Healing

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God....
Romans 8:26-28

Holy Trinity is blessed to have a Prayer Ministry that invites you, during worship, to bring your personal prayers to God in the confidential companionship of a Christian sister or brother who will offer prayer on your behalf. At two of Holy Trinity's Sunday services, 10:30 A.M. and 6:00 P.M., members of the intercessory and healing Prayer Team are available to hear prayer requests, to pray with and for you, and to offer laying on of hands. Prayers may be about specific concerns or thanksgivings or simply for general hearing and growth in God's love.

  • Any prayer is important to God. No prayer is too big or too small.
  • Prayers can be offered for yourself, a particular concern or thanksgiving, or someone else.
  • Giving thanks for gifts and blessings is always welcome!
  • Everything brought into prayer is confidential. The Prayer Team minister will not discuss your prayer request with anyone, not even the clergy and not even you beyond the prayer moment itself. If you wish for the clergy to know of your concern, you will need to tell them.
  • You do not need to consider yourself religious or spiritual to come to the prayer rail. We all talk to God in our own way. The Prayer Team minister, guided by the Holy Spirit, can find the words. You simply need to be present.
  • You may bring someone with you for group prayer. Praying together for a concern or in thanksgiving is a wonderful sign of Christ’s presence. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them (Matthew 18:20).

Holy Trinity is a faith community whose members pray for one another at all times. May you find the Prayer Ministry both welcoming and meaningful to you.
