The choir of St. Matthew’s Westminster, London, will offer Choral Evensong, a service dating back to 1549. This service will include music by Bernard Rose, Herbert Sumsion, and Richard Shephard, Samuel Sebastian Wesley and Jean Langlais.
The St. Matthew’s Choir, under the direction of Nigel Groome, is a professional ensemble which sings at the Sunday Mass and Wednesday Choral Evensong. They have recently broadcast for BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong and Radio 4 Sunday Worship. Repertoire is drawn from early plainchant to the 21st century.
