This year's George and Elie Warburg concerts of the Four Nations Ensemble is focused on three Divas, muses to composers and librettists of the 18th Century. Our third and last is dedicated to Marie Fels, painted by La Tour, friend to the philosophers of the Enlightenment, favorite soprano of Rameau, singer to Rousseau and first soprano to sing La Serva Padrona in Paris. Her life spans the history of France from the time of Kings to the time of terrors. Music by Rameau, Mondonville, Pergolesi, Rousseau and Jadin. More information at fournations.org
