Franciscan Art and Music (Part 2)

  • The Church of the Holy Trinity 316 East 88th Street New York, NY, 10128 United States (map)

October 3, 1226 mark 800 years since the death of St. Francis of Assisi. Often referred to as his “transitus,” or his passing over, Francis died fulfilling the values he tried to embody in life: peace and simplicity; joy and solidarity with creation. Pope Leo XIV has declared a special Jubilee Year from January 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027, so we will use two Wednesday nights this summer to explore some key Franciscan themes in art and music. Join Music Director Adam Koch and Father John for these occasions of art and song, followed by dessert.
